Here is a copy of the email I sent to the newspaper reporter this morning shortly after I read the article:"Elizabethe,
I just read your news article on the fire district wanting to conduct
polygraphs. I also noticed John Grogan was consulted in one way or
another. I just want to pass on some info on John Grogan. Please look at
this website. http://www.truthaboutgrogan.org/
I am a polygraph examiner and member of the American Association of
Police Polygraphists, American Polygraph Association, and Missouri
Polygraph Association. If you are needing someone to consult with over
polygraph issues, please feel free to contact me or any member of the above
associations.
Kind regards,
Derek Piasecki"
and here is the response I got from her late this morning:
"Thank you for the email and the information. I will keep your name and
these web addresses if I write about polygraph exams again. I called
Mr. Grogan while trying to determine what this district probably would
have to pay to have their employees undergo polygraph testing. I don't
have plans to interview him again.
But thank you again for the info. I do appreciate it."
On a side note, I am also the PIO for my department and I am thinking about notifying other media outlets here in the area to seek out legitimate examiners. Should I do this now or wait and se if his name comes up again?
